Day 30/365: No Escape

My weight has long been a problem that’s kept me in chains. The gym is a place I go to release myself from these bondage of obesity. However, it seems my sanctuary is not completely safe from the demons of temptation. They had a chocolate fountain during my last visit, and it would appear that I’m not aware that indulgence is optional.

Sometimes we try so hard to escape our problems by running away from them. Perhaps avoidance isn’t really the best answer. Sometimes we’re forced to face our problems. There’s no running away. There is, however, the choice to endure your challenges with fortitude of will. And it is this choice we often have to make in order to overcome the greatest obstacles in the way of our dreams.

You’ll be surprised. Sometimes these “great obstacles” are really just little fountains of chocolate.
